Tips to Get your Hobbies and Crafts organised today!
Use these tips to get your organising off to a flying start!
Designate an area so you can relax while doing your crafts / hobbies
Only do these things if they make you happy - drop any that don't
Keep all supplies in containers and label them - makes it easier to pick up where you left off
If your hobby is panting for example, you need light, so try and make the place you do this by a window. Try also to keep all your supplies to hand so use storage in that room/area
Have a sewing kit in the house fully stocked so that it is ready to go if you have to quickly make a repair
If you make things, try and use them as gifts otherwise you will end up creating more items around the house - keep just one or two that are special to you
Try and finish one project before you start the next one - this will minimise the amount of clutter you have
In families, try and introduce every member of the family to each others hobbies - this will help you understand each other as unique people, and what is important to others.
Try all going to a sons football match, or a daughters ballet show (sorry for the stereotypes but you get the idea!), or a dads cycle race - whatever it is that you do then show an interest.
Give each memebr of the family time to do their crafts / hobbies as this will ultimately make them happier in themselves. These are often the only way we get to relax.
Introduce young children to a variety of ideas for hobbies as this will help them to understand what they like / dislike - don't assume they will love what you like doing. Acknowledge that they are individuals.
