CD Organisation

• Most easily stored in A-Z, but make it storage that you can easily add new titles in (storage towers within individual slots are hard as you need to move everything down one to make a space - very time consuming)
• Nowadays you can buy stereos that you can save all your CDs to the unit, so you can eaither sell the CDs or keep them as backup in the loft or out of the way - making storage no problem at all!
• Rotate CDs if you have them in your car - that way you won't bore of them
• For your car only (for copyright reasons) copy the CDs you have so that you can have a copy in your home AND car - its also safer as they are more likely to get damaged or lost in the car so you don't lose the main one.

• If you store them on shelves, keeps childrens ones at their level and older certificates out of their way
•  Consider a DVD player in your car for children for longer journeys

•  If you choose to add them on shelves, use narrow shelves in alcoves as it looks neat and tidy, or even use specific items of furniture that are measured for these items so you can maximise your space (narrow shelves mean that you will not be able to have DVDs or CDs behind each other - so you will be able more easily to see which you want. 
• Keep all CDs and DVDs in their boxes, clean them and check for scratches etc.. 
• CDs and DVDs you don't want to keep can be sold well online - especially boxsets. Group into genres or artists as well may sell better 
• Keep a list of any CDs or DVDs you want to watch, listen to or purchase - perfect for when people ask what you want for birthdays / christmas.
